How to maintain and add events

Step-by-step guide to creating and managing events in the ato CMS.

01 — Requirements

Note

This is currently not yet possible for artists. Art agents can add events.

02 — First Log-In

Log in

The login procedures are identical to those for maintaining artist profiles.

Step by step:

1. Under ato-cms enter your email address
2. Click on "Request user password"
3. Enter your email again and click "Next"
4. Check your email inbox (including spam folder)
5. Click the link in the email to set your password
6. Return to login and sign in

03 — Entrance / Dashboard

Manage events

In the dashboard on the right side you see the menu items. Click on "Event".

From there you can:

  • Click on existing events and edit them
  • Add new events

04 — Add Events

Create new event

Click the + icon next to "Overview Exhibitions" to add a new event.

Title (German)

Enter the name of the event in German.

Title (English)

Enter the name of the event in English.

Slug

You can leave this field empty. The slug is generated automatically.

Publication (Start date)

Click on the "Publication" field to select a date. Select the start date of the event and then click "OK". This step is important!

Date until (End date)

Select the end date of the event and click "OK".

Location / Address / Venue

Enter the location of the event (e.g., gallery name, address or venue name).

Location (English)

Enter the location in English.

Link to external event

If the event has an external website, enter the link here.

05 — Add Image

Image format and size

  • Format: Portrait (not landscape, not square)
  • Resolution: under 300 dpi (72 dpi is sufficient)

Edit image information

Click on the gear icon next to the image to edit the image information.

  • Copyright Text: Enter the name of the photographer or source.
  • Copyright Link: If available, a link to the person or source can be entered here. If the person has a profile on ato, link them internally and use a shortened link (e.g. /crew/name/ instead of https://ato.vision/crew/name/).

Then click Save.

06 — Create & Participants

Create event

Click the "Create" button to save the event.

Add participating artists

Go back to the event overview and click on the event you just created to open it again.

Below the event image you can select and add the participating ato artists.

If other ato artists are involved in the event that you have not yet added, let us know so we can add them.

Guest artists

If guest artists are involved, you can enter them in a separate field. Enter the names separated by commas (e.g. Name 1, Name 2, Name 3).

07 — Publish

Publish

Check the box next to "Publish".

Then click Save (blue box in the top right).

You did it!
The event is now public at:
https://ato.vision/events
