How to maintain artists profiles
Step-by-step guide for creating and maintaining artist profiles in the ato CMS.
▶ Tutorial (Video): Create artist profile▾ | ▶ Tutorial (Video): Create artist profile (for art agents)▾
What we need
The profiles of your artists are initially created by ato. You will then complete them and can update or modify them at any time using your access.
We need:
- The names of your artists
- Portrait photos and photo credits
If you and your artists have agreed that they will maintain their profiles themselves, we will also need:
- The artists' email addresses in order to create login access
Logging in as an artist
If you are an artist maintaining your profile yourself, here is a short introduction to logging in:
1. Go to ato-cms and enter the email address you provided for your profile
2. Click "Benutzerpasswort anfordern"
3. Enter your email address again and click "Weiter"
4. Check your email inbox (also your spam folder)
5. Click the link in the email to set your password
6. Return to the login page and sign in
If you experience any problems accessing your account, please contact Adam (gawel@ato.vision).
Welcome to the dashboard
On the right side you will see all pages you can access:
- Dein Profil
- Personen (only visible to Kunstagent:innen)
- Kunst
- Veranstaltungen
For Kunstagent:innen / art agents: "Personen"
You will see an overview of the artists that have already been created. These are currently set to "Draft" so that you can edit them before publishing. Please remember to publish the profiles as soon as possible so the artworks can be promoted.
Artworks can only be assigned once the artist profiles exist.

/crew/sebastian-heck/instead ofhttps://ato.vision/crew/sebastian-heck/).
Click Speichern to return.
Beschreibung (ALT text)
"Beschreibung" corresponds to the ALT text (alternative text), which should be added to every image. ALT text is important for accessibility (screen readers), image indexing by search engines, and as fallback text if an image fails to load.
- Keep it short and precise (max. 125 characters)
- Describe what is visible in the image and its context, especially for people who cannot see it
Then click Speichern (blue button at the top right).
Künstler:innenseite Kunstwerke / Featured Kunstwerke
Artworks can only be assigned after they have been created. If artworks already exist, you can easily add them using "+ Füge hinzu" in the dropdown menu for both the artist profile page and the Featured page (ato.vision/featured).
